Four graduating Collins College of Business seniors have been named 2025 David R. Lawson Outstanding Seniors. These awards are given to students in recognition of their leadership and accomplishments during their time at The University of Tulsa: Ethan Bise, Anely Duran, Abby Heidemann, and Lauren Osterberger.
Ethan Bise

Bise hails from Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and came to UTulsa to take advantage of the smaller, more focused campus community. A business information systems major, he chose the program for its blending of the two things he loves most: working with people and utilizing new technologies. On campus, Bise is the director of community engagement and external partnership for the TU Business Society, the marketing chair for JOLT, and the co-president of Students for Sustainability.
Outside of his campus obligations, Bise has a deep appreciation for serving his local community and enjoying the natural world responsibly. He has participated in many outdoor service projects, including a three-week coral reef restoration in St. Croix and a two-week sustainable trail build in Cimarron, New Mexico. He is also a former Boy Scout and current Eagle Scout and has spent collectively more than 200 nights camping since the age of 12.
Following his graduation, Bise plans to work in sales at Tenstreet, a local software company.
Anely Duran

Duran was born and raised in Tulsa, the eldest of three children. Besides being closer to family, she had her heart set on UTulsa because of the many incredible opportunities it would provide her, particularly its strong business program. Duran chose to major in finance with a minor in accounting because she is passionate about finance and community outreach. The first in her family to graduate from college, she also has the distinction of being on the Dean’s Honor Roll.
Outside of the classroom, Duran is heavily involved on campus. She is the chair of community engagement for the Latin American Student Association (LASA), a peer mentor, a university ambassador, and a member of Beta Alpha Psi. Duran and her LASA colleagues received the 2025 Individual Event of the Year award for Festival de las Flores, commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month.
After she graduates, Duran plans to remain in Tulsa and work full time.
Abby Heidemann

Heidemann is from Springfield, Missouri. An energy management and finance major, with a minor in real estate, Heidemann has taken advantage of many extracurricular opportunities available on campus. She is currently a justice on the Student Government Association’s Judicial Council, a member of the Future Alumni Council, a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute Research Challenge Team and is in the Honors College. Formerly, she was the president of Chi Omega sorority, treasurer for the Tulsa Energy Management Student Association, and analyst and secretary for the Student Investment Fund. She is a Presidential Scholar, was a Top 10 Freshman, and is the recipient of American Association of Professional Landmen and Oklahoma Energy Resources Board scholarships.
Heidemann has studied abroad frequently. She traveled to Rome to study Medieval and Renaissance culture as part of her Honors studies. She has also been to Aberdeen, Scotland, and Stavanger, Norway, to study global oil and gas and global energy, respectively.
After graduation, she will attend the University of Oklahoma’s College of Law to study energy law.
Lauren Osterberger

Osterberger is a native of Afton, Oklahoma, and arrived at UTulsa to study business management with a concentration in business and law and a minor in psychology. Since coming to campus, Osterberger has been involved in student leadership. She has served as the funding and allocations coordinator for the Student Activities Board, as well as a cabinet member, justice, and chief justice for the Student Government Association. On the Panhellenic Council, she served as a recruitment counselor and vice president of recruitment, and as philanthropy director and vice president of administration for Kappa Alpha Theta.
In addition to her leadership duties, Osterberger has received several awards and scholarships, including the Lucile Moore Garrett Scholarship, the Joyce Anne Vitelli Memorial Scholarship, the Student Activities Board Director’s Choice Award, and the Kappa Alpha Theta Honors New Initiate award.
After graduation, she will attend Texas A&M University’s School of Law to pursue a career as a corporate attorney.
