ChemE alumnus honored with 2024 NextGen Under 30 Award

The University of Tulsa is proud to announce that Ryan Danley (B.S. ’23), has been selected as a 2024 NextGen Under 30 Award winner. This prestigious recognition celebrates Danley’s exceptional contributions to his career and his unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the community.  

The NextGen Under 30 Leadership and Award Recognition Program, which received more than 9,755 nominations, aims to identify and honor talented young Oklahomans. The program encourages these individuals to continue pursuing their career goals within Oklahoma. Danley’s recognition comes from his work in the Energy & Transportation sector.

While pursuing his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a minor in mathematics, Danley also met his wife, Haley. During his time at UTulsa, he was voted Homecoming King in 2022, named Greek Man of the Year, and received several other accolades. His academic journey included researching photovoltaic cells under the guidance of Gabriel LeBlanc,  associate professor of chemistry and biochemistry, and interning in the environmental group at Williams in 2022. 

“We’re always thrilled when our alumni accomplish such great things,” said Ty Johannes,  the Wayne B. Rumley Endowed Chair in Chemical Engineering. “Ryan’s achievements reflect his talent, hard work, and dedication to both the industry and the university.” 

Currently, Danley serves as a renewables engineer at Williams, where he supports the Project Execution and New Energy Ventures teams. He also participates in Williams’ Engineering Development Program. In his role, Danley is responsible for generating preliminary economic and engineering analyses on new energy ventures projects and developing and maintaining emissions reduction strategies for the enterprise. Additionally, he plays a key role in Williams’ Emissions Reduction Technical Committee and leads the development of rotational-employee curriculum.
