One of my favorite memories at TU is meeting the love of my life. I came to TU and immediately knew I wanted to join Greek life. I had heard so many great things about the sororities on campus and I knew I wanted to be a part of one. I joined Delta Gamma and it wasn’t long before I was making friends and having the time of my life.
It’s a common thing for the new members of sororities to have date functions with the new members of fraternities. It was at the date function with Lambda Chi Alpha I met my favorite human, Ethan. We immediately connected and although it sounds so cheesy, it was like we were meant to be together.
Before TU, I was very active in my small Oklahoma high school and very social. I had been in past relationships and been hurt. Ethan was almost the exact opposite. He went to a very large Texas high school and had a small group of friends that was very tight-knit. He had never been in a relationship before. Although we were so different, his ability to be so honest and genuine is what made me fall in love with him. We have been inseparable ever since that night, two years ago. I wouldn’t change anything for the world. Ethan pushes me to be the best that I can be and I push him to branch out and try new things. We are perfect for each other and he’s my best friend. We now have a puppy together, a basset hound named Tater Tot, and have plans to continue our education past undergrad here at TU and get married in this beautiful city of Tulsa. This university brought us together, and I will forever be grateful. I love TU. I love Ethan.
