Another amazing experience I have had here at Tulsa is orientation. I had the most fun with my group. I was unsure of how close we would get because of how much different we are but those differences only brought us closer together.
We did everything together including eat all of our meals together. 
I not only gained experience but I also gained friends. I found a lot of people that have the same major as me and we also have a lot of our classes together. Learning this was a big relief especially since we even started planning to do study sessions together.
We have stuck with this plan and still meet with each other for help with anything. It was hard for me at first to ask for help from people but I am learning to do so especially since it is benefitting me educationally. It was actually during orientation when I decided to join the color guard here at TU.
As soon as school started I was on the color guard team and it started off difficult since I hadn’t done anything in almost a year due to COVID. Getting the hang of things again was a difficult task but I eventually am getting my groove back. The first game I performed, I wasn’t so confident. Now I am very confident and loving where I am going. Meeting these people have been an amazing experience and something I will never forget in the time to come.
