Jon Rubottom, Holly Hayes and Trevion Freeman received prestigious scholarships from the Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law as a result of their high level of academic achievement and commitment to environment, energy and natural resource issues. We are so excited to congratulate them on their success.
Jon Rubottom (JD ’21) earned the Energy Law Journal‘s award for most outstanding 2L. Prior to graduation, he served as the journal’s articles editor. Recently, Rubottom accepted an offer of employment as an attorney with the Florida Public Service Commission in the General Counsel’s Appeals, Rules and Ethics Section. In this role, he will work in energy regulation, administrative law, environmental law and appellate practice.
Holly Hayes (JD ’22), a former landman with the Southwestern Energy Production Group, received the FHDO Scholarship Award from the Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law Foundation for National Resources and Energy Law. Hayes is an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation and is a member of the Native American Law Student Association. She has clerked for the Demand Project on issues of human trafficking, as well as with Moyers Martin and the Skillern Law Firm.
Trevion Freeman (Class of ’22) received an Equity and Inclusion Fellowship as well as a Foundation Scholarship. Currently, Freeman serves as the president of TU Law’s Student Bar Association. He is also a member of the Tulsa Law Review. His law article on the Creek Freedmen and their fight for citizenship has been selected for publication in the Tulsa Law Review winter issue. After graduating this spring, Freeman will work with Johnson and Cephas Law.
