A Fraternity and Greek Life Community Like No Other

During my time with Kappa Alpha Order at the University of Tulsa, I had the pleasure of serving as the Purser (Financial Officer), Vice President, and President which dispensed upon me a variety of unique and uncommon experiences including filing the organizations taxes, leading the chapter’s new member education program, and managing the entire organization’s relationship with external parties and university administrators.

Dominic Lupo  Fraternity and Greek Life CommunitySome accomplishments and notable achievements during my terms include attaining the single highest fraternity semester GPA in The University of Tulsa’s 100-year history of a 3.73, receiving the chapter’s second and third ever George C. Marshall award given to the single best KA chapter nationally, and recruiting the largest (and best) new member class of all Greek organizations at the University of Tulsa for five straight years.

One of my most fond memories during my KA experience is our organization’s consistent involvement with organizations such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Kendall Whittier Neighborhood Program. Seeing the real, measurable impact our fundraising and community service endeavors have on those most in need of support continues to be one of the most moving and rewarding aspects of my time at TU.

My involvement in these roles, as a member of Kappa Alpha, and a participant of the excellent surrounding Greek Life has done nothing but accentuated my college experience providing me with countless opportunities and connections to create meaningful impacts on the University of Tulsa and the surrounding community.

In every respect of the student experience, whether it be academic success, campus involvement, interviewing and career preparation, philanthropic initiatives and activities, and creating life-long friendships, the many fun and character-molding experiences I have had in these roles and as a member in general, are memories I am truly grateful for and will carry with me for a lifetime.
