As we embark on a new year, I am thrilled to share some of the exciting developments within the College of Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Tulsa. This year marks a groundbreaking milestone as we launched Oklahoma’s first Cyber Range in partnership with Oklahoma Cyber Innovation Institute. This state-of-the-art facility represents a significant investment in the future of cybersecurity education and research, providing students and professionals with an unparalleled opportunity to engage in hands-on training and cutting-edge simulations. It is initiatives like these that solidify our position as a leader in engineering and computer science education.
I want to warmly welcome Yujing Du, Ph.D., as the first female petroleum engineering faculty at UTulsa and Chris Burris, instructional assistant professor of simulation and gaming. Their expertise and innovative perspectives will undoubtedly enhance our academic and research endeavors, ensuring that our students continue to receive a world-class education that prepares them for the challenges of tomorrow.
Finally, I want to take a moment to congratulate our December 2024 graduates. Their hard work, resilience, and dedication have brought them to this pivotal moment, and we could not be prouder of their achievements. As they step into their next chapters, we are confident they will make significant contributions to their fields and communities.
Thank you for your continued support in our mission to foster innovation and excellence. Together, we are shaping the future of engineering and computer science.
Sincere regards,
Andreas A. Polycarpou
