The University of Tulsa’s Friends of Finance graduate student honoree for January 2024 is Rovshan Hasanov, who is being recognized for his impressive success within his program.
Hasanov is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Business Analytics, which he began in fall 2023. Prior to TU, Hasanov attended Baku Engineering University in Azerbaijan, where he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in economics and was a finalist in the Business Case Competition, sponsored by Fortune Global 500 companies and the United States Embassy. Following his graduation, Hasanov worked for PASHA Bank as a risk specialist, and through his experience in Big Four Banking, he honed his quantitative skills by building risk models to minimize credit losses and improve efficiency.
He holds a 4.0 grade-point average and continues to be passionate about roles where he can apply the skills and expertise he has learned to drive better decision-making with data.
