University of Tulsa alumnus Keith Colgan, who has served as a member of UTulsa’s Board of Trustees since 2024, has been selected as the next chair of the board effective July 1. He will assume the post currently held by Marcia MacLeod, who has served as chair since 2022.
Colgan (B.S.B.A. ’88) brings decades of financial and executive experience to this critically important position. He has held senior leadership positions across multiple industries, including serving as CEO and partner of Nextwire, LLC, CFO roles at United EFP, LP and Champagne Metals and earlier career experience with Deloitte. He currently serves as chair of the board’s Audit and Risk Committee.
Colgan’s affiliations with the university run deep. His wife, Laura (B.S. ’81), is a UTulsa history alumna and his father, James (B.S. ’67, J.D. ’70), majored in international business at UTulsa.
“I am grateful for the leadership and dedication that Marcia has demonstrated as chair of the board,” Colgan said. “Looking to the university’s next chapter, I’m excited to work with President-elect Stacy Leeds on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for UTulsa.”
The UTulsa Board of Trustees serves a vital role by outlining the university’s long-term plans and providing leadership for one of the country’s top institutions of learning.
