Welcome to the spring edition of The University of Tulsa’s Oxley College of Health & Natural Sciences newsletter. I’m quickly approaching my 100th day as dean of the college and find myself reflecting on my steep learning curve.
I have been overwhelmed by our faculty and staff, who are engaged in innovative courses, programs, and research because they are dedicated to the success of our students and their growth as future leaders. I’m meeting our students, who inspire me with their hard work and passion for having an impact.
Our new college that combines health and natural sciences is allowing us to envision what Oxley is becoming – a place where expertise can foster collaborations and transformative educational opportunities for students. We aim to cultivate a dynamic learning environment where interdisciplinary exploration thrives, empowering students in health and natural sciences to innovate, lead, and transform the landscape of health care and scientific inquiry for a healthier, sustainable world.
As inaugural dean of the reimagined Oxley College, I am humbled and energized by the opportunity to serve our students, faculty, alumni, and community to broaden our reach and impact in becoming the heart of Tulsa and beyond. I look forward to the bright future we will create together. Please reach out to me. I am eager to meet you.
Best wishes,
Dr. Sue Pepin, Dean
