With the spring semester in full swing, the Collins College of Business is buzzing with momentum, and it’s not slowing down. From pioneering student experiences to nationally recognized faculty research, we’re not just preparing students for the future – we’re helping shape it.
On April 8, TU Giving Day offers alumni, donors, and friends a powerful way to directly fuel this impact. Your support helps launch careers, fund life-changing programs, and drive innovation. Every gift makes a difference.
We’re proud to roll out The Collins Career Accelerator Program (CCAP), a structured, three-year cohort model professional development program, which builds on the work of CaneCareers. CCAP will provide workshops with business professionals on technical and professional drivers of success in business fields, experiential learning in feedback, influence and negotiation in business, and support in building and managing professional networks. CCAP is designed to ensure our graduates don’t just land jobs but launch meaningful, impactful careers. A special thanks to the alumni and advisory board members who influenced the program design.
Our commitment to experiential learning is unmatched. This semester alone, students had the chance to visit eight real estate development sites, engage with industry professionals, and attend the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Oklahoma Impact Awards. Thanks to our partners in OKC, students saw firsthand the exciting developments shaping the industry and gained valuable insight into potential career paths.
We are especially grateful to our energy sector partners, whose continued collaboration fuels student success. Their support has created invaluable opportunities for our students to lead impactful capstone projects, interact with professionals in the classroom, and explore energy operations across all commercial forms. This hands-on exposure deepens our students’ understanding of the global energy landscape and prepares them to enter the workforce with confidence and clarity.
Faculty excellence continues to shine. At the recent United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) Conference, Assistant Professor of Management Nathan Woolard took home the Best Overall Paper Award, and our Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship was earned national recognition as a Model Emerging Entrepreneurship Program finalist.
None of this is possible without your support. Whether through TU Giving Day, mentoring students through CCAP, supporting industry trips like our real estate experience, or celebrating our faculty’s accomplishments, your engagement fuels our continued success. Thank you for being part of the Collins College of Business community.
We’re proud of what’s happening at CCB, but we’re even more excited about where we’re going.
