This semester has been a whirlwind. I have been fortunate to visit with alumni in Dubai, Barcelona, Phoenix, Houston, and Denver and with our university partners in Dublin, Ireland. Meanwhile:
- Collins College of Business formally launched The University of Tulsa’s Center for Real Estate Studies, led by Dr. Meagan McCollum. The center held its annual real estate career networking event with more than 50 real estate professionals from various industries participating to share career advice with our undergraduate and graduate students. The center also now provides an opportunity for students to receive professional certifications during their time at TU. We have received our first endowed scholarship for the program and several real estate students have been recognized with national awards.
- The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship faculty and staff headed to South By Southwest (SXSW) with a busload of TU students to support fellow students pitching SkinCheck (one of the investments of the Hurricane Venture Fund).
- Two of our undergraduate energy students will present their research papers at an international energy conference in Turkey next month.
- Dr. Eric Olson and I as well as two students were fortunate to attend alumna Sharon Prince’s third annual Design for Freedom conference. (add the URL to the conference?)
Enrollment for fall 2024 for our undergraduate and graduate programs are moving forward with great results. It continues to be a productive and exciting semester as we focus on our mission of empowering the next generation of business leaders.
With Gratitude,
