MBA mentorship program launched

MBA students meet and greetAt The Collins College of Business, a strong emphasis is placed on providing exceptional service to MBA students. This is evident through their “extreme engagement” initiative, which aims to foster robust connections with the business community. A notable component of this initiative is the mentorship program, where each MBA student is matched with an executive from various industries.

In 2024, the mentorship program boasts a diverse range of professionals from backgrounds including healthcare, music & entertainment, consulting, banking, education, manufacturing, nonprofit, and tech. These mentors hail from both Tulsa and other parts of the country, united by their passion for Collins College and their commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders.

Recently, Toby Joplin, an applied assistant professor of management and Director of Graduate Business Programs, organized a Mentor Meet and Greet event for MBA students at Oklahoma Joe’s BBQ. This event provided students with the opportunity to meet their mentors, network, and receive valuable advice firsthand.

At The Collins College of Business, the dedication to personalized mentorship underscores their commitment to student success. By facilitating connections between students and industry leaders, they equip their MBA candidates with the guidance and support necessary to thrive in today’s competitive business landscape.
