The University of Tulsa College of Law was deeply grateful that we were able to place our 2021 Mogel Intern, William Woolston, in the Energy Jobs Office of the U.S. Department of Energy. The Mogel Internship is funded by TU Law as well as the Foundation for the Energy Law Journal in conjunction with the Energy Bar Association.
In his position, Woolston was able to contribute to the U.S. Energy and Employment Report (USEER). In that capacity, he listened in on calls with the rest of the department, union leaders and White House aides. After helping to release the USEER, Woolston was able to research labor laws and how they apply to our proposed Labor and Climate Framework. He also was able to interpret some legal language in early drafts of the bipartisan infrastructure bill for the team’s economist. Woolston is continuing his internship with the DOE’s Office of Policy in the spring 2022 semester.
