I still remember my first TU football game. My initial reaction was how impressive the stadium is. I had never seen a stadium like TU’s, and I have been to a lot of football games in my life. I remember seeing all the fans, young and old, and how into the game everyone was. 
The atmosphere felt like a true American football game. I honestly felt like I was in a movie because everyone was smiling, it smelled like popcorn in the air, and the crowd was wild for our team. I went to my first TU football game when I really didn’t know anyone here yet. So I invited my family to watch the game with me. I am from Wichita KS, which is about a 2 ½ hour drive from Tulsa. My parents are huge football fans, so they were excited to come to the football game, but not so excited for the total of 5 hours in a car in one day. Let me just say, they did not regret making that drive. My parents had an amazing time because they could see what kind of atmosphere TU was. They got to see that for the first time that TU was the right choice for me. They were worried about me since my first college was a bad experience. So after that football game, they told me how relieved they felt because they could tell I really loved it here and they could tell how great TU is.
