My second week of classes I met this girl that I hadn’t seen before in my math class, I had been wanting to meet new friends in all my classes, but I was super nervous because I don’t know if everyone is open to having new friends or not. I was in the bathroom before class and I met 2 girls, one of them I had recognized because she sits 2 seats away from me. We all 3 talked before going to class and then ended up sitting next to each other in class. While we were waiting on class to start, we were talking about the first football game because it was that night. The new student and I were having a conversation and she had said that she was wanting to go but that she didn’t have anyone to hangout with at the game and she really didn’t want to go alone. My friends from my floor and I planned on going together so I invited her to hangout with us at the game, later we met up so I could help her with her math work before the game since she was a little behind. My friends and I went to the game and after went to Whataburger together. After eating, my friend from class said she was invited to a frat party, she asked if I wanted to tag along. We went to the party, and I met so many new people. I met people that were in every different year of college and I’m still talking to them weeks later. Taking chances on events has helped me make friends so much easier. I now have multiple people I catch on my way to classes and in the student union that I can sit with or just have a conversation with!
