The University of Tulsa’s Friends of Finance faculty honoree for November is Applied Assistant Professor of Finance Tally Ferguson.
A graduate of Yale University and the Wharton School of Business, Ferguson joined TU as an adjunct instructor in 2001 and became a full-time faculty member in February 2023. Prior to TU, Ferguson worked for 26 years at BOK Financial, last serving as senior vice president and director of risk management across the enterprise, where he was responsible for overseeing risk governance, market risk, and risk transfer programs.
In his career, he has also served as a regulatory consultant for Ernst & Young, helping clients implement regulatory programs such as risk management and interest rate risk initiatives. Ferguson got his introduction to banking as an examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, beginning in 1985.
His courses include Seminar in Fixed Income and Commodity Markets. In addition to his teaching role, Ferguson is also the faculty adviser for the Student Finance Association and Student Investment Fund.
