In August of 2020 I started my first semester on the University of Tulsa which was completely online due to the covid-19 pandemic. In the beginning I was so confused because it was a completely new experience for me, and I had only a few days to figure out how the system works. I was lucky that I had my advisor to help me with everything and she was the person that explained to me that I have to work on Harvey, and it is our academic resources system. My first concern was if a full-time online program can be as much efficient as the in-person and the answer was yes. I found everything well-organized, and I had access to the schedule of my classes and other information that our professors had for us. The professors were very friendly and willing to help us and answer to all of our questions which was an important step on our communication and online interaction. Even though it was a different academic experience, it helped me a lot to practice on the online platforms and I learned more about how to use websites, how to write a formal email and all the other kinds of virtual learning. I had the online version for all of my books and that was helpful because everything that I needed it was on my laptop. The University of Tulsa made me feel comfortable about the virtual learning and after this great experience I start thinking about an online graduate program.
