The concert featured the 2022 TU Symphony Concerto-Aria winners: Jessi Rhinehart and Madyson Mitchell, sopranos, both vocal performance students of Judith Pannill Raiford; Ben Reyes, cello, student of Diane Bucchianeri; and Alina Ryzhkova, piano performance student of Roger Price.

TU President Brad Carson opened the concert with remarks, describing the central role music has had in TU’s history and emphasizing its importance moving forward. School of Music Director Richard Wagner conducted the orchestra. Before the final selection, Wagner introduced each of the orchestra’s graduating seniors and dedicated the performance to the many TU musicians who missed the opportunity to perform the previous two years due to COVID-19.
