Recently, a contingent from The University of Tulsa embarked on a visit to Saudi Arabia to strengthen international partnerships. During their trip, a series of alumni events were held in Riyadh, Dhahran, and Jeddah, bringing together a robust network of graduates. With over 40 alumni in attendance across the three events, these gatherings underscored the enduring connection and loyalty of TU’s global community.
Andreas A. Polycarpou, dean of TU’s College of Engineering & Computer Science (ECS), and Vice Provost Vivian Wang updated attendees on the latest developments within the institution. Highlights included insights into the new administration, the introduction of innovative academic programs, the vision for ECS, and strategic initiatives for global engagement.
The events welcomed alumni who graduated as far back as 1989, representing a diverse array of fields such as business and finance, petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, geosciences, and more. Participants shared nostalgic reflections of their time at TU, with many expressing that their time at TU was the best part of their educational journey.
During the event, the U.S. Embassy and consulates in Jeddah and Dammam dispatched representatives to attend TU alumni gatherings. They encourage and support alumni engagement and academic exchange between U.S. and Saudi higher education institutions.
These gatherings not only provided a platform for reconnecting with former classmates and friends but also served as a forum to celebrate the achievements of TU’s graduates. For more information on alumni engagement, please visit the TU Alumni Association and ensure your information is up to date.
