As the semester ends, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of the December graduates across the College of Engineering & Computer Science at The University of Tulsa. This is a time to honor their dedication, perseverance, and contributions to their fields and communities.
“These graduates have demonstrated resilience, creativity, and determination,” said Andreas A. Polycarpou, Ph.D. and dean of the College of Engineering & Computer Science. “They are well-prepared to tackle the challenges of our evolving world and contribute meaningfully to society. We look forward to their future successes.”
Among the exceptional graduates this semester:
Heather Catli received her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and has accepted a position with Miratech in Tulsa as a mechanical engineer. As her capstone project, she designed a mobility device for pickleball players at Tulsa’s Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges. “It was truly inspirational and exemplifies how engineering can directly enhance people’s lives,” said John Henshaw, Ph.D. and chair of mechanical engineering.
Aziz Alhejaili, Ph.D., will joined King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia as a faculty member in January. Alhejaili becomes the seventh doctoral graduate from the research group led by Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering Nagu Daraboina, Ph.D. “Aziz has been an exceptional researcher and collaborator,” said Daraboina. “His work ethic, passion for knowledge, and ability to inspire others make him a perfect fit for academia. We are excited to see the impact he will make at King Abdulaziz University and beyond.”
All graduates embody the spirit of The University of Tulsa – innovative, driven, and compassionate. We celebrate their success and look forward to the incredible contributions they make in the years to come. Congratulations!
