TU alumni earn more than graduates from any other Oklahoma college

The University of Tulsa produces the highest earning alumni at midcareer based on the 2016 College Salary Report by PayScale.com. The publication lists universities with the highest earning alumni regarding midcareer meridian salaries as well as majors’ median pay.

PayScale.comTU tops Oklahoma’s list of 14 colleges at $86,800, followed by the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University. Graduates surveyed in the report ended their formal education with a bachelor’s degree.

According to PayScale.com, the highest-paying degree for midcareer salaries nationwide is petroleum engineering at $172,000. U.S. News & World Report’s 2017 Best College Rankings listed TU’s McDougall School of Petroleum Engineering as the fourth best petroleum engineering undergraduate program in the nation.

The online salary database PayScale.com published its annual College Salary Report with analyzed salary data from 1.4 million alumni from more than 1,300 U.S. colleges.
