The University of Tulsa is proud to have been identified by Mosaic as a Top Inclusive Workplace for 2020. Mosaic is the Tulsa Regional Chamber’s coalition of companies and nonprofit partners that celebrate diversity, champion equity and cultivate inclusion within the regional business community. The coalition helps educate, lead and influence businesses on ways to create diverse workforces and inclusive workplaces to enhance their competitive advantage.
Mosaic evaluates each organization according to five “key pillars”:
- CEO commitment
- Diverse people
- Internal policy
- Community outreach
- Diverse suppliers
TU scored “strength” for the first four, while “diverse suppliers” was identified as an “area of opportunity.”
“On behalf of our entire University of Tulsa community of students, faculty and staff, I want to thank Mosaic for supporting and encouraging inclusivity and equity in such a wide array of enterprises across our region,” said Kelli McLoud-Schingen, TU’s vice president for diversity, equity and inclusion. “In particular, by recognizing TU’s commitment to building and nurturing a workplace that welcomes everyone, Mosaic has added fresh wind to our sails as we continue this vital journey.”
