As a sophomore nursing student, I am finally getting a taste of the nursing program at the University of Tulsa. Although I do not begin clinical until next semester, which I am very excited for, I am taking my first nursing class. This semester I am taking Nursing Overview. In this class I had the opportunity to meet other students in the nursing program as well at the professors.
The nursing program at the University of Tulsa strives for excellence among its students. Since classes are difficult, I am a few study groups and group chats with other students in the program. We all realize that with the help of others, we will be able to succeed in our exams. Through these study groups we have become friends and supportive peers. I am glad to have a group of people within my major that gives me support. This is especially helpful when tests come along, and the days can become stressful. Without the friendships I have developed with other nursing students, classes would be much more difficult.
I can’t wait for clinical to start and to gain some experience in the field of nursing. The TU nursing program was most important reason for me to attend the University of Tulsa. I am looking forward to the coming semesters and developing new relationships.
