The University of Tulsa has been recognized as Oklahoma’s best value college for 2016, according to the financial service organization SmartAsset. The financial technology company advises customers on personal financial decisions and releases an annual Best Value Colleges study. Top performing schools are ranked on the basis of starting salary, tuition, living costs and retention rate.
SmartAsset ranks TU the best value in the state, followed by the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University. A total of 10 Oklahoma universities are listed in the study.
“The quality of a TU education coupled with opportunities for financial assistance, research exploration, community involvement and job placement attract outstanding students to our campus,” said Earl Johnson, vice president for enrollment and student services. “We’re proud to offer them the value they expect from a Top 50 private research university.” (U.S. News & World Report)
TU also was named to the list of Top 300 Best College Values of 2016 by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance.
