TU Professors Provide a Nice Surprise

Coming into TU my freshman year, I was very nervous about the bridge between high school and college academic work. In high school, your teachers always talk about how difficult and stressful college will be. While obviously college is more difficult than high school, TU professors do an excellent job of easing this transition tremendously. The student to professor ratio is perfect. This ratio allows students to build a personal relationship in the classroom with their professors. This is a benefit students would not be able to receive by going to a large university. Being the top academic school in Oklahoma as well as having one of the top students to professor ratios is an achievement in itself. At most colleges you wouldn’t be able to go your professor and get extra help outside of class time like you are able to at TU. I have been able to build a professional relationship with multiple professors I have had over my three years here. We are able to keep in contact and talk even though I may not be here in his or her class anymore. Incoming freshmen who want to go to an excellent academic school and have amazing access to help when you need it should look into coming to the University of Tulsa.
