TU Outdoors: A place for well-being and reconnecting

Since March 1, University of Tulsa students have enjoyed relaxing, recharging and socializing at TU Outdoors at Thomas Plaza. While this inviting environment is closing on April 16, its impact and memory will endure.

“TU Outdoors represents our university’s ability to overcome so much,” said Scott Gove, associate director of residence life. “Through creativity and placing students’ well-being at the forefront, we began the healing process of reconnecting with one another safely. This space has allowed us to start that journey, and also to provide us with a spring tradition that will grow into something even more special for our community in the future.”

Ryan Bennett, a senior in media studies, was one of the many students who enjoyed the safe, convivial atmosphere of TU Outdoors. Bennett created a short video for TUTV that captures the thoughts and experiences of several students who enjoyed this new campus meeting ground.
