TU’s STEM Bootcamp Content is Now Available!

If you would like to get a preview of what some of your first-year courses will be like, or if you realize that your brain hasn’t been challenged to perform critical thinking skills lately, then this unique opportunity may be of interest to you!

TU’s STEM Bootcamp was originally offered as a two-week, all-day, on-campus program designed to help students develop their core abilities in math, chemistry, and college study skills, which makes for a smooth transition from high school to college. This intensive format helps students build critical skills and much-needed confidence as they enter their studies at TU. As a result, participants develop the motivation, preparation, and proficiency that will help them succeed to the point of graduation. The original format works well in a “normal” environment, but the COVID-19 pandemic has made it vital to provide content in a variety of ways to best suit student needs. The STEM Bootcamp content is too important to limit access to on-campus participants, so we are making all of the recorded sessions available to all entering undergraduates.  You can access the content that is of interest to you and do so at your convenience.  In addition, participants will develop familiarity using “Harvey” (TU’s name for Blackboard) which is the platform most often used by TU faculty.

By taking advantage of this opportunity, you will be better prepared than your peers in so many ways!

Content is available on the following topics: Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Introduction to Engineering, Excel, and general Study Skills. New content will be uploaded nightly through August 14.

Students who complete 5 consecutive sessions of a discipline-specific track (i.e. all 5 sessions of Pre-Calculus offered in week 1, or all 5 sessions of Biology offered in week 2) will be entered in a drawing for the textbook required of their fall 2020 math course (a $400 value)!
