Where? The University of Tulsa. When? In the middle of a stressful semester. It just so happens to have also been national pancake at IHOP. If you ever want to meet amazing friends, TU is the place to do it. I was walking out of my morning class when I was asked by a random person if I liked pancakes. Of course, I said yes as it would be a crime to deny the elite taste of a syrup lathered thick crepe.
The hit me right back asking if I wanted to come with them and a group of students to IHOP to enjoy some all you can eat pancakes and coffee afterwards. Without breaking stride, I was on my way to IHOP with a new group of friends to eat and talk shop with about class and Tulsa life. This was not just an activity put on by the university to get people to do stuff during the semester. This was just a random act from some students who just wanted to be nice. Finding new friends is exceptionally easy as the general vibe around campus is so inclusive and sociable that students just tend to migrate together. They enjoy being friendly, and truly see everyone as a friend, no matter if they know you or not as long as you reign cane. So, if you are coming to TU soon as a student and worry about the issue of making friends, I ask you to just be yourself, and from the weird ways that TU students are, you will fit right in.
