The University of Tulsa is proud to announce Yi Ting Chua, Ph.D., assistant professor at the School of Cyber Studies, has received the Early Career Award from the American Society of Criminology’s (ASC) Division of Cybercrime. This distinguished award recognizes the achievements of scholars who show outstanding merit at the beginning of their careers.
Chua’s impactful contributions to cybercrime research at the university centers on critical areas within cybercrime, such as digital privacy, cybersecurity policies, and the social implications of cyber offenses. Her research not only provides a deeper understanding of complex cybercrime trends but also informs strategies to improve policy and enhance protections in digital spaces. Through her innovative studies, Chua contributes to both academic insights and practical approaches in this rapidly evolving field.
