The University of Tulsa (UTulsa) was thrilled to serve as the host of the 2025 Tulsa Regional Science Fair, an inspiring showcase of scientific exploration and innovation for students across Tulsa and Creek counties. This event brings together talented seventh through twelfth grades students, giving them the chance to present their research projects and compete for recognition.
This event provides a platform for young scientists to share their discoveries and engage with the broader scientific community whether from a public, private, or homeschool background. Projects represent a broad range of scientific disciplines, from biology and environmental science to computer science and engineering. Participation in events like the Tulsa Regional Science Fair can ignite lifelong passions, introduce students to advanced research concepts, and prepare them for future academic success.
UTulsa has long been a leader in research and STEM education. Dedicated to innovation, fostering the next generation of scientists and engineers is the cornerstone of the university. The College of Engineering & Computer Science offers numerous opportunities for students to engage in research projects that address real-world challenges. Faculty and students work side by side on cutting-edge projects, including energy sustainability, advanced robotics, cybersecurity, and biomedical innovations. These hands-on experiences empower students to think beyond the classroom and tackle pressing global issues through technology and science.
UTulsa’s commitment to STEM education extends beyond its own campus. Through partnerships with local schools and organizations, STEM outreach initiatives provide resources, mentorship, and opportunities for young students in the Tulsa community. These programs open doors to new possibilities and spark curiosity to cultivate a pipeline of future scientists, engineers, and innovators who will shape the future.
“At The University of Tulsa, we are deeply committed to inspiring and nurturing the next generation of scientists and innovators,” said Andreas A. Polycarpou, dean of the College of Engineering & Computer Science. “Our STEM outreach is designed to pique curiosity in young minds, giving them a clear path to their future.”
