The University of Tulsa and Pandit Deendayal Energy University in Gujarat, India, have renewed their longstanding partnership through a memorandum of understanding reaffirming their commitment to advancing student and faculty exchange, joint degree programs, and collaborative energy research.
Originally established in 2009, the partnership has fostered meaningful academic engagement, including student mobility and faculty collaboration in engineering. The renewal reflects both institutions’ dedication to building on this momentum and exploring new opportunities in light of India’s National Education Policy and recent higher education reforms.
The renewed agreement emphasizes the development of dual and joint degree programs and deeper cooperation in energy-related research. PDEU’s delegation, led by Director General Professor S. Sundar Manoharan, visited UTulsa this month as a follow-up to Vice Provost Vivian Wang’s recent visit to India, reinforcing a shared vision for global education.
PDEU is a premier institution in India dedicated to energy education and research. Located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, the university offers programs across engineering, management, and liberal studies. It is recognized for its emphasis on interdisciplinary research, industry engagement, and innovation in sustainable energy solutions, including solar and wind energy, energy storage, carbon capture, and smart hybrid grids.
