Before I moved into college, the thing that seemed the most nerve wracking was move in day. I came into The University of Tulsa not knowing a single person, and I also had a random roommate. I had so many thoughts going through my head, but I truly had no idea what to expect.
Another worry I had was that I wouldn’t have anyone to come help me move in. When I got there, I saw lots of older guys walking around and helping people move stuff from their car to their rooms, and upstairs. I had so many people helping me move in, and it was a great experience. I thanked them all and I realized that this school is a great community, and everyone loves to help each other. I felt so welcome to The University of Tulsa, and I knew I had made the right college choice.
When I got into my room and met my roommate, I made another friend. He was a great guy, and we had a lot in common. On that day, I went out and I met so many new people and it was a great first day at University of Tulsa.
I went and ate with my new friends, and this was all within 24 hours of moving to an entire different state. That was a great experience that I was a little nervous about, but it ended up being a great time. I am really glad I came to this school.
