The annual online registration process for parking permits has instituted a new approach that allows employees to either keep their existing lot assignments by Retaining Registration for that space on a year-to-year basis or for those seeking a different lot assignment participate in an Open Registration period. New to the parking registration options this year is the Online Waiting List for parking lots. Information on all three options is listed below.
Phase One: RETAINING REGISTRATION
Full-time Faculty, Full-time Employees & Adjunct Faculty: July 1-15, 2016
During this time, Full-time Faculty, Full-time Employees & Adjunct Faculty may retain their current (2015-2016) parking lot assignment by easily clicking on that selection on the registration webpage, making the appropriate payment, and uploading a copy of their current driver’s license and proof of insurance. Those who prefer to not retain their current parking lot assignment may participate in Phase Two of the parking registration process.
Phase Two: OPEN REGISTRATION
During Open Registration, individuals may choose a parking lot that is still available by selecting that lot on the registration webpage, making the appropriate payment, and uploading a copy of their current driver’s license and proof of insurance. Remaining spaces will be limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Phase Three: ONLINE WAITING LIST
If, after completing Phase Two, registrants would still like to seek availability in another lot, they can request to be placed on the Online Waiting List during the Parking Registration process. This, too, will be prioritized based on lot availability and request order. As spaces become available, individuals on this list will be contacted by Parking & Card Services to make this change. Note: You are only eligible for Phase Three if you participate in Phase Two.
Upon registration verification and confirmation, a parking permit will be issued according to the distribution process posted annually. Decals must be affixed to the lower portion, passenger side of the front windshield. Parking permits are non-transferable to another person. Parking Rate Plans vary according to whether the vehicle registrant is a campus resident or non-resident and, in some cases, the choice of the available lot at the time of selection.
