Alex Fay specializes in federal Indian law. Her research explores the intersections of Indian law, constitutional law and criminal law. She writes about tribal courts and jurisdiction, the status of tribes in American federalism, colonialism and various aspects of sovereignty.
Fay’s scholarship appears in the Michigan Law Review, the Washington University Law Review, the Arizona State Law Review, the Michigan Journal of Race & Law, the American Indian Law Journal and the Yale Law & Policy Review. Before joining the University of Tulsa, Fay worked for UCLA’s Native Nations Law and Policy Center, where she co-taught the Tribal Legal Development Clinic.
