Davis Hale, Ph.D., is faculty in the Department of Kinesiology and Rehabilitative Sciences. He teaches exercise physiology with laboratory along with exercise management for special populations. He oversees the Human Performance Lab with various physiology and cardiopulmonary assessment capabilities. Hale’s research focuses on standard measures of firefighter fitness and their contribution to optimal work performance and health outcomes. He has presented findings for the Fit-for-Duty project at the annual meetings for American College of Sports Medicine and National Strength and Conditioning Association. Hale is a certified strength and conditioning specialist, and exercise is medicine specialist. He has mentored more than 20 TURC students whose projects have been published, presented, and awarded. In his spare time, Hale is an avid cyclist who loves to talk about specialized bicycles.
