About
Helen Douglass, Ph.D., is an associate professor of education who specializes in STEM education ecosystems, including mentoring, the intersections of formal and informal teaching and learning, visual methodologies and holistic experiences. She has recently been selected as a Learning Analytics in STEM Education Research (LASER) fellow through the National Science Foundation and the Friday Institute of Educational Innovation. Her teaching includes co-constructing meaning with students and co-labor (collaboration) in tasks, synthesis and analysis of experiences. Students describe Douglass’ classes as engaging and student centered, while providing the context to experience relevant content and reflection both as individuals and in community.
