Ismail Abdulrashid, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Data Analytics


Ismail Abdulrashid, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of Data Analytics in the Collins College of Business at The University of Tulsa where he teaches Analytics, including Business Decision Models, Enterprise Data Systems, and Data Mining & Predictive Analytics. He received his Ph.D. in Operations Research and M.S. in Data Science from Auburn University in 2020.

Abdulrashid’s research focuses on the development of mathematical and machine learning models to represent physical systems, as well as the application of these models in the areas of healthcare informatics and finance to provide insight into emerging business problems and drive organizational improvements. Particular emphasis is given to the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in healthcare. He has published numerous research articles in journals and peer-reviewed international conferences such as Annals of Operations Research, Stochastic Environmental Research and Risk Assessment, IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics (ICM), Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems, and Communications in Pure and Applied Analysis.

His research is application-oriented in health informatics, specifically in the chemotherapy cancer treatment area. Abdulrashid a member of INFORMS, the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI), and the American Mathematical Society (AMS).
