About

Ismail Abdulrashid, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of data analytics at UTulsa’s Collins College of Business. He earned his Ph.D. in operations research and M.S. in data science from Auburn University, along with a B.S. in mathematics from Bayero University in Nigeria. His research spans artificial intelligence, machine learning, healthcare analytics, and transportation and logistics, with publications in the European Journal of Operational Research, Electronic Commerce Research, and Annals of Operations Research.

Ismail has been recognized with multiple research and teaching honors, including the 2025 Mayo Research Excellence Award and a Teaching Excellence nomination in 2024. With a passion for applied AI and data-driven solutions, he brings real-world impact to the classroom and beyond.
