About
Jean Blocker’s work on environmental values and on social movements has been published in mainstream sociology journals (Social Forces, Social Science Quarterly) as well as in specialized journals (Journal for the Social Scientific Study of Religion, Environment and Behavior, Youth and Society). Research projects funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Corps of Engineers, and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation have been used in policy making for electricity rate structures, community/environmental impacts of transportation routes, and floodplain management.
