About
Jerry McCoy has taught in the Department of Physics & Engineering Physics at The University of Tulsa since 1993. His main departmental responsibility is to teach general physics (calculus based) lectures and labs. He is the founder and director of the TU Physics Journal Club, a popular monthly meeting that began in 1997 to discuss current progress in physics. For more than 20 years, he has presented “Professor McCoy’s Wonderful World of Physics” to audiences of all ages around northeastern Oklahoma. He is active in promoting and facilitating global education for engineering students, and has led workshops for Oklahoma K-12 science educators for many years.
