About
Jolly Meadows, Ed.D., is an applied assistant professor of education who specializes in teacher preparation.
Meadows teaches several courses in the teacher education program. She uses her degree in elementary education, as well as her expertise as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, and school administrator, to prepare education majors for the classroom. She coordinates field experiences and prepares teacher candidates for certification exams. She created The Fifth Year Academy to support graduates and novice teachers during the first five years of teaching.
She has provided professional development throughout the state in STEM education, helping teachers identify and align community resources with state standards to improve classroom instruction. She is working on a project using art and culture to support student achievement in rural school districts.
