About

Kimberly King, Ph.D., is an instructional assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics. She holds a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in mathematics education from the University of Arkansas. King also holds an M.A. in mathematics education and a B.S. in mathematics both from the University of Central Arkansas.

King brings extensive experience as a secondary mathematics teacher in both Arkansas and Oklahoma. Her teaching and research interests center on mathematics pedagogy, curriculum development, and supporting future educators in building strong content knowledge and effective instructional practices. King’s research interests include ambitious teaching strategies, flipped classrooms, active learning, calculus teaching strategies and mathematics teacher education.
