Langtao Chen, Ph.D., is an associate professor of business information systems at the Collins College of Business at the University of Tulsa. Before joining TU, Chen was an associate professor of business and information technology at Missouri University of Science and Technology, formerly the University of Missouri-Rolla. He is a distinguished member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS).
Chen’s research focuses on online communities, user-generated content, data analytics, health information technology, and user experience. He has published in journals such as the Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Journal of Management Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, Journal of Computer Information Systems, and Journal of Information Technology Case and Application Research. Before entering academia, Chen spent seven years working as a computer systems analyst in the software development industry. He enjoys fishing as a way to relax and connect with nature.
