Lu Yan, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of accounting at The University of Tulsa. Before joining UTulsa, Yan earned her Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, an M.S. from Rotterdam School of Management, and a B.S. from the University of Science and Technology of China.
Yan’s research focuses on financial reporting, examining the incentives of various players involved in producing information for capital market participants. She investigates how financial reporting is used by investors and other stakeholders, as well as the impact of technological advancements and alternative data sources on the demand, supply, and quality of financial information.
