Chair of Biological Science

Professor of Biological Science

Mark Buchheim, Ph.D., is a professor of biological science who specializes in the diversity and evolution of eukaryotic microbes. Professor Buchheim has focused his research on the form, function and diversity of green algae in the order Sphaeropleales (Chlorophyceae) in addition to the green flagellates–Chlamydomonas, Dunaliella and Haematococcus.
