About

Michael Futch, Ph.D., is a philosophy faculty member whose work centers on early modern philosophy, metaphysics, the philosophy of time, and the history and philosophy of science. He has published a book and several articles on Leibniz’s varied contributions to the philosophy of space, time, and causation, as well as articles on 17th-century British philosophy, 20th-century American philosophy, and Augustine. He also has interests in the philosophy of science and natural philosophy of American and British idealists. Futch regularly teaches courses in logic, modern philosophy, and metaphysics, and is an Honors College Faculty Fellow.
