He has more than 34 years of experience, with 28 years in academia and 6 years in industry. Mohan teaches and conducts research in process control systems, multiphase flow separation, oil-water dispersion characterization, high-pressure fluid applications, instrumentation and signal processing, and manufacturing processes.
He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Kentucky and his B.Sc. in engineering from the University of Kerala in India. Since 1996, Mohan has served as the director/co-director of the Tulsa University Separation Technology Projects (TUSTP) and has directed projects funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST), and several international petroleum industry companies.
Mohan has co-authored more than 90 refereed publications, over 300 conference presentations, and holds 10 patents or invention disclosures. He has received multiple best paper and service awards from ASME, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), the American Association of University Professors (AAUP), and other organizations. He has also delivered numerous invited and keynote speeches.
