About

Sam Krall serves as director & applied assistant professor of The University of Tulsa’s Arts, Culture, and Entertainment (ACE) Management Program. Sam’s professional roles have spanned strategic planning, consulting, marketing, fundraising, and audience development. He served for four years as Director of TU’s Alexandre Hogue Gallery and in 2023 joined the Tulsa Ballet’s board as chair appointee. As a creative careers specialist, Sam supported nearly 2,000 musicians, artists, and creators at both the Eastman School of Music and Syracuse University in developing the array of skills needed to sustain a career in the creative industries. Recognized in arts career and entrepreneurship development, Sam has presented nationally for Chamber Music America, The Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers, the Berklee College of Music, the Brooklyn College and Conservatory, the Interlochen Arts Academy, Adams State University. In 2023, Sam served as Arts Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Penn State during the nationally recognized Central PA Festival of the Arts. His studies on arts audience development have led to invitations to present for the Association of Arts Administration Educators and the International Society for the Scientific Study of Subjectivity. Sam maintains an active agenda as a musician, having made his Carnegie Hall debut in May 2014.

Awards and Honors

3 Time Recipient of TU’s Most Valuable Professor (MVP) Award. Paper presenter at the International Society for the Scientific Study of Subjectivity. Recipient of the University of Rochester’s Meliora staff team award. Carnegie Hall debut in May 2014 singing the role of Sir Thomas Morton in Howard Hanson’s ‘Merry Mount’ with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
