About
Throughout his career, Scott Holmstrom, Ph.D., has specialized in the study of light-matter interactions, from their fundamental nature to their application in fields such as breath analysis and dosimetry. In the classroom, Holmstrom has taught nearly two dozen courses across the physics curriculum and is perhaps best known for challenging students to think deeply about even the most mundane aspects of physics.
“The physicist is most cogently identified, not by the subject studied, but by the way in which a subject is studied and by the nature of the information being sought.” Gruner, et al., Physics Today 48 (1995) pg. 25.
