About
Siamack A. Shirazi is a professor of mechanical engineering and the director of the Erosion/Corrosion Research Center at The University of Tulsa and director of Tulsa University Sand Management Projects. Shirazi has contributed to more than 650 publications, technical and invited presentations, most related to erosion/corrosion and multiphase flow for energy and mining industry applications.
Shirazi’s past 33 years of teaching and research at The University of Tulsa has advanced the important field of erosion mitigation for oil field, mining, and renewable energy applications, and he is known worldwide through his work for the sponsors of his research and through his publications and short courses delivered around the globe.
He is currently listed as second-most cited scientist from The University of Tulsa in AD Scientific Index, 2023 (after A. Reynolds, a star faculty member, retired now).
